Berlin McKinney Elementary School will host a LSIC Organizational Meeting, where you can select our community and parent representatives for the Local School Improvement Council.
A Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) is a group required in every West Virginia public school that brings together teachers, service personnel, parents, community members, and the principal to support school operations and improvement. Its role is to review school needs, examine data such as discipline and academic performance, and make recommendations to the local board of education. LSICs also help develop the school’s strategic plan, encourage community involvement, and propose innovative ideas or policy changes that can strengthen the learning environment.
